New for 2014: Ranger Releases the VS1780 Aluminum Deep V
New design brings Ranger quality and aluminum accessibility to multi-species anglers nationwide.
Ranger’s acclaimed roster of aluminum bass, crappie and multipurpose boats continue to be one of the industry’s best-selling product lines as the brand’s strong heritage, quality construction and innovative design resonates with boat buyers. This year, Ranger Boats is poised to introduce another category to the most sought-after aluminum boats on the water, the all-new Ranger Aluminum Deep V Series.
With more models planned for introduction in the coming year, the new Ranger Aluminum Deep V Series will deliver feature-laden boats complete with a solid, all-welded aluminum hull constructed without the use of any wood components. Upright, level foam flotation adds even more confidence, stability, and security to this ultra-quiet design, as proven with the new VS1780.
“We’ve incorporated so many key elements we’ve learned and developed in our years of building the most popular and best-performing multispecies fiberglass boats into the new Ranger Aluminum Deep V Series,” said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. “The 1780, in particular, features a solid, one-piece feel and the peace of mind that comes with quality construction and attention to detail – all starting at under $20,000 in some configurations.”
Measuring 17 feet, 8 inches with a 96-inch beam, the Ranger Aluminum VS1780 is rated for outboards ranging in horsepower from 90-135. Equipped with a 24-gallon fuel tank, the boat offers plenty of fishing space on its expansive front deck as well as the ability to accommodate kicker motors.
Built with an inside depth of 23.5 inches for added peace of mind while motoring across big waters or trolling through choppy conditions, the new VS1780 features a custom-designed fiberglass console to accommodate walk-through windshields, a full complement of gauges and space for flush mounting large-screened electronics. With custom-fitted marine upholstery throughout the boat, the VS1780 is equipped with adjustable driver and front passenger seats as well as an additional matching fishing seat, which can be utilized in a variety of configurations within the cockpit or on the three fishing positions available on the front deck.
In addition, the new VS1780 features enhanced aesthetics with metallic paint on the hulls, Ranger’s proprietary Rawhide floor covering and available snap-in carpet throughout the cockpit area. Loaded with a variety of lockable storage options throughout the vessel, the VS1780 includes center rod storage under the front deck as well as additional rod storage in the portside gunnel; a livewell/baitwell forward of the cockpit plus an additional livewell at the stern.
Available with a wide range of factory-rigged outboards, the VS1780 comes paired with a RangerTrail trailer, designed with a custom-fit specifically for easier launching, towing and maneuvering. Featuring solid, channel beam steel, the NMMA-certified RangerTrail trailer delivers exceptional strength and is equipped with a center swing jack, locking swing-away tongue, integrated load guides, waterproof lights and patented, super tough Road Armor finish. The new VS1780 also comes standard with a Minn Kota 45PD trolling motor, Lowrance X4 Pro electronics mounted at the console and an on-board 6×1 battery charger.
